As we already | mentioned before the county used to be a very old and important entity of Hungarian I administration that had quite a great power. The unification of county administration from the beginning of the 18 th century became stronger and stronger during the centuries, so we can find very similar documents in the county archives mainly regarding to the material surviving from the 18 th century The reason of differences in quantity and quality are various in kinds and devastation was big. After their establishment in 1950, the county archives had to take over nearly every document created in the four decades of socialism and that came into being under their competence. So the increased competency was one of the reasons of the increased quantity of the material. So in this way the documents of the county, towns, districts and settlements got into the archives and also the documents of de-concentrated organizations of state offices, of the institutions of exercise of jurisdiction at different levels and the documents of all the institutions working in the area of the county (educational, cultural and medical institutions) Also the documents of bodies and economic organizations got there. They also collected the archival material of significant people who used to live or play an important role there or those of other people and families who were in Armoired seal of Fejér county, 1837.
