The Archives of Hungarian Treasury (1526 - 20 th century E section), is the financial office built on the influence of Hapsburg state organization and on medieval derivations that germinated after the battle of Mohács. It includes the records of Hungarian Royal Chamber. It gives a much richer source than that of other archives that primarily relate to economics of the 16 th and 17 th century. During this period the Hungarian Chamber was the only permanent working Hungarian central governingbody. The Hungarian Chamber completed and managed the royal and state economic affairs uninterruptedly from 1528 onwards. Its activity also covered the field of public administration as the supreme authority of the economic and financial clerks of the country. The royal Legal Affair director was the king's lawyer, who functioned as the treasurer in cases which dealt with civil actions as well as a pulic prosecutor in cases of treason and high treason.
