The institution participated in the process of the Evangelical education reforms in a substantial way. Education in this institute, where students of several nationalities studied, attracted students from the most remote places, including the border areas and Transylvania. In a sense, its catchment area extended even beyond the borders of the kingdom. The role the school played in the education of Evangelical intellectuals is beyond question, and can be documented by exact figures, too.
