Kelényi Borbála: Magyarországi diákok mindennapjai a középkori Krakkói Egyetemen lengyel diákokkal együtt éjnek idején kocsmákat látogatott.131 1493-ben Sze- beni Vincével volt peres ügye, mivel eladta Vince kardját fél forintért.132 Az eddig felsorolt példák érzékeltetik, hogy a középkori diákélet nem sokban különbözött a maitól, ami a bor kedvelését és a szórakozást illeti, jóllehet az ügyek elintézését sokszor erőszakos úton oldották meg. Bár Rabelais úgy vélte, hogy a vad ösztönöket meg lehet fékezni munkával és tanulással, az eddig felsorolt ügyek jól érzékeltetik, hogy ez még nem sikerült a krakkói diákseregnek.133 Everday Life of Students from the Hungarian Kingdom at the Medieval University of Kraków 4,476 students can be identified - certainly or uncertainly - from the medieval Hungary between 1400 and 1526 at the University of Krakow, which means that almost the one fifth part of all the students originated from the Hungarian Kingdom. Due to the fortunate survival of the sources, not only the matriculation book and the list of the graduation at the faculty of arts are remained, but also the Acta rectoralia, which preserved the cases discussed by the rector's court from 1469. Out of the 2900 cases till 1526, 446 ones mention altogether 393 Hungarian students. The most files deal with debts, pledges and other money transactions or offences against the university's rules, but they contain numerous pieces of information about the everyday life, such as wine drinking and the conflicts of the Hungarian students with other nations or with the Hungarians themselves, etc. The best-known case happened on Holy Innocents' Day in 1507, when the Hungarians beat a Polish student according to a Hungarian custom, namely the older students can beat the younger ones to make this day memorable for them, to remember the Holy Innocents.
