The Minister of Hungary in Vienna, Mr. Masirevich, to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Count Bánffy. [TRANSLATION] Code telegram No. 274. VIENNA, July 12, 1921. Dr. Schober has just informed me that the National Assembly will be sitting until late at night and that therefore our meeting with Mgr. Seipel cannot take place until to-morrow. 3 To prove the sincerity of his good intentions towards us, Dr. Schober declared most emphatically that after the dissolution of the National Assembly, he will immediately take measures against the emigrants here. He will not allow these people constantly to poison the relations between Austria and Hungary. He will adopt the system of administrative expulsion, but he is unable to deport them to Hungary against their will, as that would be contrary to international custom. He definitely promised that the emigrants' newspapers would obtain no paper during his Chancellorship. 4 1 Cf. supra, Doc. No. 444; and infra, Doc. No. 600. 2 Cf. supra, Docs.
