472 No. 471. 210/res. pol. The Representative of the Hungarian Government in Paris, Mr. Praznovszky, to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Count Teleki. [TRANSLATION] Code telegram No. 305. PARIS, July 19, 1920. In pursuance of Your Excellency's telegram No. 376, 1 I called today on M. Paléologue. He received me with his usual cordiality, listened attentively to my representations and he was obviously sympathetic to our point of view. He informed me, however, that in view of the exceptional importance of the matter he could not express any opinion before having submitted it to Millerand who will not return until tonight. He will inform me of the attitude of the French Government on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. From what Paléologue told me, I am convinced that Hungarian questions, particularly our military claims, may have been discussed between Millerand and Lloyd George in Spa. No. 472. 4696/pol. The Spanish Chargé d'affaires in Vienna, Senor Avila, to the Minister of Hungary in Vienna, Dr. Gratz. No. 495. 1 Supra, Doc. No. 451. a Cf. supra, Doc. No. 382.
