of genocide and other mass atrocities, to advocate for the enhanced role of Geneva based organisations in the practical implementation of the Responsibility to Protect, to enhance preventative approaches within the UN human rights work, and to improve the situation of people with disabilities. These are the areas where the Hungarian UN Mission in Geneva has tried to increase the visibility and the prestige of the country. If we want to make our next Human Rights Council membership a successful one, we not only have to clearly determine our priorities and aims in advance, but also ensure the adequate training of our human rights experts and diplomats and further enhance the cooperation within the Hungarian administration in this field with the common goal of having a coherent, progressive and pro-active human rights policy.
