2010 / 1. szám - AFRIKA - Besenyő János: Az Afrikai Unió által vezetett misszió (AMIS) tapasztalatai Darfúrban: afrikai problémák afrikai válaszokkal?
Besenyő János Afrikai Egységszervezet (OAU), illetve az AU hatékonyabban működjön együtt a már meglévő regionális afrikai szervezetekkel (ECOWAS, IGÁD, COMESA, SADC stb.). Szükséges folytatni a már megkezdett reformokat - Security Sector Reform, az igazságszolgáltatási rendszerek átalakítása, demokratikus normák bevezetése, stb. -, fel kell számolni a gyerekkatonaság intézményét, és fel kell lépni a terrorista szervezetekkel szemben, a kábítószer-csempészet és a fegyvercsempészet ellen is. Ebben az esetben stabilizálódhatnak a kontinens országai, és a békefenntartóknak sokkal kevesebb feladatuk lesz majd a 21. század Afrikájában.
