Résumé Is the 21st Century Africa's Century? The marginalization of Africa has been going on for decades. It is the common interest of mankind to stop it and to help the continent to catch up. The strengthening of development cooperation and the multiplication of the amount of aid are indispensable in both medium and long term, as well as the internal reform of the recipients for the creation of transparency and termination of corruption. However, it takes decades for the successful completion of the catching up process even in the currently beneficial political atmosphere. 1st das 21. Jahrhundert ein afrikanisches Jahrhundert? Die Marginalisierung Afrikas ist ein Prozess von mehreren Jahrzehnten. Das gemeinsame Interesse der Menschheit besteht darin, diesen Prozess zum Stillstand zu bringen und die Aufschließung des Kontinents in die Wege zu leiten. Die unentbehrlichen Vorbedingungen des Erfolgs sind auch mittel- und langfristig die Verstärkung der Entwicklungskooperation, die Vervielfachung der Entwicklungshilfe und die auf Schaffung der Transparenz und Abschaffung der Korruption abzielende grundlegende innere Reform der Nehmerländer. Wenn auch das gegenwärtige günstige politische Klima fortbestehen würde, werden Jahrzehnte gebraucht werden, um diesen Prozess der Auschließung erfolgreich zu werden. 2005. tavasz-nyár 11
