April 10, 1964 3 IN PAPAL AUDIENCE—Fr. (Capt.) Anthony L. Capitani, a priest of the Diocese of Trenton and chaplain of the Eighth Logistical Command, stationed near Pisa, Italy, is received by Pope Paul VI during a private audience for American military personnel and their families in Italy. Fr. Capitani served as spokesman for the more than 250 families participating. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Capitani, 1302 Chambers Street, Trenton. Ordained May 25, 1946, Fr. Capitani served at St. Philip and St. James Church, Phillipsburg; St. Mary of Mount Virgin, New Brunswick; St. John’s, Lambertville; St. Ann’s, Keansburg; Sacred Heart, Trenton, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Maple Shade, before entering the Army Chaplain Corps in June, 1958. PERILLI Leggete La Nuova Capitale Diocese Sisters to Participate In Round Table of Science CHERRY HILL—The Spring meeting of the New Jersey Catholic Round Table of Science will be held April 11 in Camden Catholic High School, with registration beginning at 12 Noon. The program will be divided between the high school and elementary school divisions. Motion pictures will be shown on the elementary level as well as in the field of biology. Single concepts also will be shown in physics and biology. There will be display material on filmstrip projectors, filmstrips, overhead material for elementary and high school levels and scientific material for projects. During a brief business meeting the winner of the Seton Hall University scholarship will be made known. In the high school division, the mathematics section will tour the RCA plant here, with Sister Monica Marie, R.S.M., of St. Mary’s High School, South Amboy, serving as chairman. Sister Mary Casimir, R.S.M., of Camden Catholic High School, is chairman of the chemistry section which will feature a research symposium for high school students. This will consist of a number of papers given by interested chemistry students, and dealing with some work they have done over and above their usual class work. The biology section will highlight a talk by Dr. Nicholas D. DeProspo, chairman of the Department of Biology at Seton Hall University. Fr. Alfred J. Tobey of Seton Hall Preparatory School is section chairman. In the physics section, Eugene V. Petrick, chairman of the Department of Physics at Seton Hall University, will speak on the classical approach to the teaching of physics. This program will be chaired by John T. Theroux of Seton Hall Preparatory School. The elementary division, of which Sister Rita Carmel, S;C., of Sacred Heart School, Vailsburg, is chairman, will focus attention on a scientific approach to the. New Jersey Tercentenary. The program follows: Grade 1---Different Kinds of Soil of New Jersey, speaker, Sister Mary Janet, C.S.S.F., Sacred Heart School, Wellington. Grade 2—What We Can Grow in the Soil of New Jersey, speakers, Sister Mary Theophile, C.S.S.F., and Sister Mary Victima, C.S.S.F., both of St. Therese’s School, Linden. Grades 3 and 4—Waters of New Jersey, speakers, Sister Charles Marie, O.S.F., St. Anthony’s Grammar School, Trenton, and Sister Mary Annum-iata, O.S.F., Holy Angels School, Trenton. Grades 5 and 6—Rocks and Minerals of New Jersey, a representative of Holt, Rinehart and Winston. Grades 7 and 8—More Moder* Mathematics, a representative of Ginn and Company.
