mainder were local representatives of the young Hungarian community from the Tri-State area. They were indeed very lovely and excellently coordinated and coached by Paulette Layton and choreographed by Pál Ludányi and his new bride (and soon-to-be mother of his first child), Theresa. The debutantes were: Gabriella Bécsi escorted by Robert Csira, Katalin Hajdu-Németh escorted by Péter Tóth, Trisha M. Horváth escorted by Márk Venczel, Judit Karács escorted by Jan Drewes, Ibolya E. Kaslik escorted by James Knox, Anna Kovalszki escorted by András Kazella, Csilla Anna Ludányi escorted by Ryan M. Lyle, Melanie Matolcsy escorted by Péter IgnácKazella, Kathryn Stumpf escorted by Imre Varga, Erica J. Tábi escorted by István Tamás, and Ildikó Varga escorted by Gergely Hajdu-Németh. We also had a photo display of the history of MBK which lined the foyer surrounding the ballroom. Ludányi András and Zoltán Sándor are to be commended for painstakingly reseraching and compiling 25 years of ITT-OTT tábor. The ball’s guests had the opportunity to peruse the boards, recognize familiar faces and reminisce fondly on the many summers spent together. My sincerest thanks go out to everyone in our MBK community who supported this event, whether it was by attending it, contributing money to it, donating gifts to be raffled, or any combination of the above. I have been truly moved by the generous support extended to this risky and unproved effort and an happy to reflect on a successful fulfillment of our goals. In 1997 we will repeat this effort, until then I urge you all to spread the word of our new ball and to enjoy the optimistic feeling this successful event can foster for MBK. The MBK and its youth group invite you to the second annual Reménység Bál, and with continued support it will be an even greater success. □ ITT-OTT 29. évf. (1996), 1. (126.) szám 41
