This fall has been a very productive time for the Sándor Collection, yet somehow we still had the time to notice ourselves in the following publications: What on Earth— featured our straw wreath with angel, crafted by Emília Szabó House of Tyrol—featured our Christmas stocking embroidered with a holly motif. Art Institute of Chicago—we can be found in their shops across the country, look for a variety of our embroidered and hand-cut reverse appliqué ornaments. Anthropologie—we do not appear in the catalog, but you can find three of our reverse appliqué ornaments in their stores. Whispering Pines-search through the catalog for our Great Plain star tree topper, our Matyó heart boxes, our 1999 embroidered heart ornament, and exclusively featured is our snowflake heart pillow filled with high quality balsam for an aromatic flair. Gimbels of Maine-hand painted porcelain by Agnes Tóth Görög (a thimble and a decorated egg) can be found in the catalog, and the astute observer will also find a straw thimble by Emília Szabó. The Nature Company—we can be found in the stores nationwide, look for our star tree toppers, as ingic/e; Orf&cq Since the last issue of Hello From..., a lot has happened at the new offices of the Sándor Collection. First, we grew beyond the new space almost immediately and had to double the size of our offices to accommodate ourselves. We are now feeling less cramped and we are adjusting to the feeling of freedom this affords us. Along with the expansion of space has come expansion into new fields, such as the internet. You can read more about our new directions in the rest of this newsletter. well as a variety of stockings and ornaments.. Öur products have been well received at this division of the Discover Channel. Of particular excitement to us has been our appearance (at long last) on the internet. We are also featured at eZiba (www. eziba.com) look for pillows, ornaments, and stockings from Hungary, and from this edition's featured Romanian artist, Mummer Dolls. Keep looking at your favorite catalogs and stores, you never know when The Sándor Collection will turn up! Also, we have brought two new staff into the Sándor family, and we are hoping that their fresh, young perspectives will help us to continue to bring you quality handicrafts for the modem market as we all move into the new millennium.
