Primarily through this medium, the organization intends • •- to create a major new forum for the open discussion and debate of the great issues of our time • • • and thereby, to encourage preservation of the First Amendment's freedom of expression guarantees.

It is the Forum's intention to become significant as a journalistic force ... a major center for the encouragement, development and dissemination of enlightenment and argument on the important issues. Thus it will not confine itself solely to the publication of Forum Letters and Journal.

In addition, the Forum will commission and publish appropriate books, studies, and papers . . . sponsor and present symposia, seminars, open meeting forums and . workshops . . • produce pre-recorded tapes and tape casettes . . . institute continuing education courses.

A REPUBLIKÁNUS PÁRT PLATFORM BIZOTTSÁGA meghívta Dr. POGÁNY ANDRÁST, a,Magyar Szabadságharcos Szövetség elnökét, és GEREBEN ISTVÁN társ-elnököt Miami Beachre. Dr. Posány távolléte miatt csak Gereben István tudott részt venni. A Bizqttság tagjai kérdéseket tettek fel, az Európai Biztonsági Értekezlet, a Magyarországgal folytatott kereskedelmi és kulturális kapcsolatok, a Szentkorona és egyéb aktuális, európai és magyar vonatkozású kérdések vonatkozásában.

Gereben István természetesen egyleti szempontok kizárásával az általános amerikai-magyar, illetve magyar érdekek szemelótt tartásával nyilatkozott a Platform bizottság előtt.

Az Amerikában éló nemzetiségi csoportok közül csak minket, magyarokat ért ez a megtiszteltetés, hogy meghívást kaptunk a Bizottság elé.
