afternoon flying lessons. A DEDICATED FLIER Frank's intense dedication to his flying career was shown not only by the extraordinary steps he took in working and in studying, but in the many and varied flying positions he eventually received. After completing college in 1978 with a degree in Geology, he was a night flier for Federal Express. In 1979 he commenced flying business jets all over the United States and Mexico for Tenneco, Inc. Even during the decline of the oil industry, Frank was able to keep busy as a temporary pilot with several corporations in the Milwaukee -Chicago area. He had established himself as a qualified pilot on various types of business aircraft. Frank's progress in his field led him to the position of pilot-examiner; in addition to flight testing of the new B 737's at the Boeing factory in Seattle. And in 1988 he received, from the Federal Aviation Administration, license to be an FAA flight examiner. This gave him the power actually to issue pilot licenses as a representative of the Government. All of his expertise put Frank in the enviable position of being on demand by other airlines than Continental. Most recently he worked for six months training pilots of Lufthansa on the B 737. This, of course, allowed for even more extensive travel to all major European, Scandinavian and British cities. As well as, of course, to his favorite city, Budapest. At present Frank has, as he puts it, "taken a break" from his responsibilities as instructor and examiner and is "relaxing" by being Captain of a B737 flying throughout the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. AGAIN, "THE ROOTS" It is pleasing and instructive to see that, with all his exposure and experience throught the world, Frank Bogyos is led strongly back to strenghthen his ties with Hungary, its language, its customs, and its people! mornr t fines MAGYAR TALES Here’s a beautifully illustrated book of authentic Hungarian folk tales.
