preparing (Sfor T§our future- by -ALEXANDER HODY [LUTCF], Agency Manager William Penn Association TIDBITS Just for Today, I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything and not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself. Just for Today, I will try to live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problem at once. A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life. They do not love that do not show their love. In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous. Insurance for a child is a decision made by the parents for the happier, more secured future of their offspring. True, some insurance is needed for final expenses in the event of the child’s death; more emphasis, however, in getting a larger amount of insurance, is on the “living benefits’’ such as a low premium, future cash values and the guarantee of insurability. When parents are obtaining life insurance for their children they are providing them with a lasting gift because at a low premium the child may be covered for the rest of his (her), life. When signing up for insurance on the child ask your agent about the “guaranteed insurability option rider’’ — which will allow the youngster to purchase additional insurance in the future without the evidence of insurability. Also, I like to advise parents since they will pay the premium at least until junior grows up, to obtain a “payor’s benefit”, which will cost a small additional amount; but will provide the premium for the child’s policy in case of ailments or, worse, in case should the payor die while the insured child is still dependent on Dad’s income for paying the premium! The youth insurance will provide cash for later, to help the insured with such needed help like marriage, buying a home and any number of other opportunities.. . You see, in order to reap we must seed first! Why do we want to cover our children — well, there are several good reasons for that: 1. Protection. In other words we want to create a fund for the unforeseen eventuality (by us) but a possibility by the very nature of life, such as an early death of the child. We never know when we will be confronted with such an awful time but if we will, obtaining the required funds through life insurance, just won’t be possible. True that most working parents have some sort of medical coverage through their employment which will also cover their children; yet, even with this coverage it is still a severe hardship to pay thousands of dollars even if this is only 10-20 percent of the total cost! May I point out nevertheless, the insuror will cover the child for the living benefits in most cases as we are preparing for life! A well thought-out amount of child insurance will go a long-long way, it will become of lasting value, a gift that will last a lifetime, a gift that Moms and Dads would like to have received when they were young! I see that the space provided is being used up; we will pick it up here the next time and continue to discuss more reasons why it is wise to have insurance on the: young! Until the next time: WALK IN THE SUNSHINE EVERY DAY! “We thought you would like to know . . At William Penn Agency in New Jersey we have set the following code of ethics for our operation. . . 1.
