2 HUNGARIAN HERITAGE REVIEW FEBRUARY 1986 Our goal is to double our readership by the end of this year. It is not an unrealistic objective. Particularly, with your active participation and continued support. To help achieve our targeted quota for 1986, we have already launched nationwide campaigns in the United States and Canada. This intensive sales promotion includes direct-mail, advertising in selected Hungarian newspapers and monthly publications, and spot ads on Hungarian radio programs. We are ready now to support this drive for more subscribers by inviting the assistance of those who are already subscribers to the Hungarian Heritage Review. For, if each subscriber would help to enroll only one new subscriber, we would not only meet our goal, but also surpass it. Because your constructive help as a subscriber means a great deal to us and our affiliated Rákóczi Foundation (Canada) and the Rákóczi Foundation-International (USA), we have decided to offer you an incentive. We are offering you a chance to win a free, three-week, all-expense-paid, trip to Hungary with our “1986 Historical Tour of Hungary” group. Here is how you can become eligible for a chance to win it: 1. If you are already a subscriber, order a Gift Subscription for someone in your family or for a friend ($25.00). Use the appropriate subscription form on the back cover of this issue. This form will then be your “raffle” entry coupon in the drawing to be held. 2. If you are not yet a subscriber, order a subscription for yourself ($25.00) and a Gift Subscription for someone in your family or for a friend ($25.00). Use the appropriate subscription form on the back cover of this issue and mail it in with your check or money order in the amount of $50.00 made payable to the Rákóczi Press-International. Upon its receipt, it will be your “raffle” entry coupon in the drawing to be held. 3. U.S.A. entries should be mailed to the Rakoezi Press-International, P.O. Box 2203, Union, New Jersey 07083. Canadian entries should be mailed to P.Ü. Box 67, Station "L“, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M6E-4Y4. 4. You can submit more than one Gift Subscription. The more you order, the more chances you will have to win. *** ********* We have been asked about the relationship between the Rakoezi Press-International and the Rakoezi Foundation (Canada) and the Rakoezi Foundation- International (USA). The answer is that, while the Rakoezi Press-International is a separate or independent, commercial enterprise, it is supportive of both non-profit organizations. . .ftnancialy, public relations and publicity, and otherwise. When you subscribe to the Hungarian Heritage Review, for example, you are also helping its affiliated non-profit organizations carry out their respective activities. ************ The Rakoezi Foundation-International (USA) is planning to establish Chapters in cities, states, and regions where there are Hungarian communities. If you are interested in qualifying for and obtaining an Official Charter, please write to us. ************ Part-Time Job Opportunity: If you would like to become a correspondent for or a representative of the Hungarian Heritage Review in your immediate area, please write to us and submit your resume. ************ Subscription Renewal Notices: When the time arrives for you to renew your subscription, you will be notified. When you receive our Renewal Notice, do not put it aside and forget about it. Please remit without undue delay. This would help us to reduce our bookkeeping overhead and to avoid unnecessary subscription cancellations. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Moreover, in the difficult and costly process of auditing the subscription list of the former Eighth Hungarian Tribe magazine, removing delinquent subscribers therefrom, merging our own list of new subscribers into the balance, and computerizing more than 12,000 names and addresses some errors may have been committed by our addressing and mailing service. Consequently, if you are a paid up subscriber, but did not receive a copy of either our December or January issue, please let us know so that we can correct the problem.
