The members cf the Chinese Delegation visiting Hungary took floor on all the four peace rallies. The Peace-Conferences took a stand on claiming disarmament, the peaceful employment of the atomic energy and particularly backing the Moscow peace-declaration on responsibility brought forth of faith for peace of the peoples. Professor Kulin, Monber cf the Hungarian Evangelical Student Federation in those days,could greet several cf his friends among the audience. He preached the Christmas Gospel in his writing to the man of the day worried by fate, war, death and eternal damnation. $ 4 $ $ At Debrecen Theological Academy, on the exit examinations for pastors 6 candidates passed the first Examin cion of them two with honours. 13 delegates registered for the Second Examination, The Synodaj. Commission on Examinations honoured three of the candi­dates with money reward for their outstanding dissertation and excellent oral exam. On the ceremony of "exmission" of those passing the First Examination, Senior István Gaal, Deputy Bishop preached the Word and authorized, in the name of the Synodal Commission on Examinations, the now Assistant Ministers to engage in pastoral work. On behalf of the pastors of the Church District, Senior Dr.wál Farkas great ed the young pastors. * administering the sacraments. * * * * In the past weeks there were organized evangelisations, charity tea­­parties, evenings with entertainment programme, congregation meeting-days,further or ' ’•ent- and Christmas-evenings, and the New Years Eve to make the encounters itime and familiar among the church-goers.
