- 6 -NEW HUNGARIAN SCHOOLBOOKS FOR RELIGION The Catholic, Reformed, Lutheran and Baptist schoolbooks for teaching of religion were granted by the minister of education. In the past, Baptists could not have their children taught their own religion, but had to send them to the religious instruction of one o.r the other "acknowledged religions". Now also Baptist children can attend their own religious instruction and learn of their own book. Teaching of religion continues to be carried on in the Hungarian schools and the expenses thereof are born by the State. i0 -»-ö.
