4. szám - Kovács György: Partmenti galériák vízgyűjtőképessége
316 Hidrológiai Közlöny 1961. 4. sz. Kovács Gy.: A partmenti galériák vízgyűjtőképessége A külső oldalon a folyó felől meginduló áramlás hatására létrejövő legnagyobb nyomást a (18) egyenletből számíthatjuk. Számpéldaként a 6. A vízvezető réteg 2/3-ánál is tovább növelve a galéria mélységét a hatékonyság növekedése gyakorlatilag zérus. Ilyen mélységű galéria tervezése és építése indokolatlan, sőt a vízvezető réteg 1/3-ánál mélyebbre nyúló galéria indokoltságát is minden esetben részletesen vizsgálnunk kell. IRODALOM 1. The Flow Iníercepted by Lateral Galcries By Dr. Gy. Kovács Doctor of Technical Sciences For describing the characteristics of flow occurring around galeries running parallel to watercourses, a transformation system identical with that described in an earlier paper on lateral intercepting eanals [ÍJ can be applied. Only the first step is more complex, inasmuch as the surface and the axis of the galery must be transformed into a straight line. The configurations obtained by the individual steps of the transformation and the corresponding functions are shown in Figs. 1 to 5. For the numerical solution of problems, the geometrical features of the first configuration are determined first by the aid of Eq. (3) and (4), after the object pláne has been extended, or shrunk according toEq. (1) in a manner that the depth of the water bearing layer should be tt/2. Having established these geometrical features, the virtual seepage distance Y 0 is determined from Eq. (13). The auxiliary terms ő and <r contained therein can be obtained from Eqs. (9) and (10), while the quantity A can be determined by successive approxirnation using Eq. (14). In the knowledge of the parameter of the field of flow consisting of squares, namely of the virtual seeping distance X„, the characteristics of flow can readily be obtained. The relationship between yield and depression is given by Eq. (15). The pressure acting on the underside of the impermeable cover overlying the water bearing layer between the point of entrance and the galery, is given by Eq. (16). whereas beyond the galery Eq. (17) applies. On the external side, the maximum pressure due to seepage from the direction of the watercourse, can be calculated from Eq. (18). Characteristics of the seepage system shown in Fig. 6 have been determined as a numerical example, by assuming galeries of different depth in order to establish the relationship between depth and efficiency. For convenience in calculation a diagram has been prepared which yields the horizontal ordinate of the first projection of the point in terms of the depth of the galery, and the location of the point the abseissa axis under consideration (Fig. 7.). Summarizing the results of the numerical example it can be established that taking into consideration both the intercepting capacity and the pressure drop, the efficiency hardly changes as the depth of the galery is reduced to beyond '/ a of the thickness of the water bearing layer. Practically no improvement takes place in efficiency as the depth of the galery is increased to 2/ 3 of the aquifer. The design and eonstruction of galeries of similar size and depth is not justified and even galeries extending below '/ 3 of the aquifer should be examined carefully in every particular case.
