Analysis of the water of the Government Boring No. 2. at Hajdúszoboszló. By S. S. de Finály, Chemist, Royal Hungarian Geological Survey. Boring Nr. 2 lies in the neighbourhood of the older one, named nr. 1. The present pipe of the boring is located in the depth of 1621.25 meters and is perforated in the more significant water holding levels, i. e. within 1619 — 1617, 1456—1442, 1432—1422, 1409—1386, 1386—1352 and 1131—1016 meters. Gas containing layers were uncovered at about 1112 m. The water yield was in September 1931. about 1200 liters in a minute which means about 1700 cubic m daily. This quantity of water contains about 3200 cubic m of good earth gas (daily). The chemical composition of the water is as follows: Cations: grams/kg aequivalent % K + : 0.0319 0.89 Na + : 2.0531 97.05 Ca++ : 0.0281 1.51 .
