It is a single-cylinder, verti­cal-type unit, with an air-tight piston, driven by a built- in electric motor, and consisting of two main parts: the driving motor and the compressor itself. The assembly is resiliently suspended by means of 3 springs in a ca­sing, sealed hermetically by welding. The electric motor is a single-phase, two-pole, asyn­chronous squirrel-cage unit with rheostatic split-phase starting. Its winding is made of freon- and oil-resisting material. The compressor is provided with an automatic valve, sucking-and-discharging silencer, link drive mechanism, forced lubrication and is of counter-flow design. The motor compressor type MK 0,8 K 7,5 can be incor­porated in cooling systems destined for domestic or simi­lar use, with coolant made up of gas marked with F 12 and oil marked either GHF 30 or X Ö5 12, and provided with current-limiting device and starting relay. The compressor is suitable for intermittent run.
