Tours on foot, hiking. In the romantic forests of the Matra and Bükk those who love nature, can spend very pleasant hours. The daily tours are between 12 - 20 km and so even children can easily accomplish the distances. During the tour the picknick lunch will give the guests the possibility of resting a bit.

Special sports

Archery. This sport of the mediaeval knights is being revived in the Hospital Cellar of the Castle as well as in the court-yard, where this apparently easy but in reality difficult sport is practised with bows and arrows by individual visitors and by members of groups.

Pilot (flier) instruction. One of our most exciting offers is the pilot training. Persons wanting to get an international licence in the surrounding of Eger to fly airplanes, helicopters should get in touch with the Sport & Programme Service for detailed information concerning prices and possibilities. According to experts, on basis of a preliminary offer, a two-weeks stay is sufficient for a successful test.

The mountains around Eger offer an ideal place to the at present so very popular air sports: glider flying, slide flying, warm air balloon flying. In these branches of sport several international competitions have already been organized here.

Angling at the Tisza Lake. Practising anglers or beginners are offered a whole-day angling programme either with their own equipment or with a borrowed one. The angler master will show the guests how to prepare a delicious fish soup of the catch of the day. (Eger - Tisza-lake: 78 km)
