Wine Gastronomic Programs The Feast of the Egri Bikavér on St Donáťs Day July From year to year, the feast of the Egri Bikavér on St Donáťs Day is an outstanding wine event in the country. The program provides an excellent opportunity to show wines. Wine makers, wine traders and also tourists visiting the town can try them. The feast of the wine has been organized every July since 1996 in Dobó Square, the most beautiful Baroque square in the country. At this wine gastronomic event the most recent Egri Bikavérs of the different local wine makers are presented and awarded a prize. At the gala of the program local restaurants offer food specialties to every single Bikavér.
