According to tradition, the Valley’s cellar number 1.24. vas made before the Turkish occupation and was also ised for ecclesiastic purposes in the 16th century. In one :orner of the cellar there is a little niche with an altar and :arvings in it. There are two more cellars on Öregsor, vhose walls are decorated with stone reliefs. The oldest :ellar of the town can be found opposite the Chapel in he valley. It was made in the 16th century and is called he Godly Cellar, since it served as a secret church dur- ng the Turkish occupation. Lovers of wine and good food are received by excellent restaurants and evocative wine cellars. Festivals and other cultural programs entertain the guests in the sum­mer months. '5
