Kepei György (Selyp, 1906. október 4.) Nagy utat járt be Selyptől Bostonig a valóságban, meg képletesen is. A legtöbb vizuális művészet köszönhet valamit neki és tanainak. Könyvei és alkotásai hidat vernek a 19. és a 21. század művészete között. Kassák Lajos köréből indulva lett Moholy-Nagy munkatársa Londonban és Chicagóban, tanított a Massachusetts Institute of lechnology-n, majd 1967-től vezette a Center tor Advanced Visual Studies-t, amely a tudományok és a művészetek közös alkotásait igyekezett létrehozni.

György Kepes (Selyp, October 4,1906) He travelled a long way between Selyp and Boston in a real as well as a figurative sense. Most branches of visual art owe something or other to him and his theories. His books and creations bridge the art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries respectively. Starting from the circle of Kassák Lajos, he became Moholy-Nagy's co-worker in London and Chicago, he taught at the Massachusetts Institute of technology, then, in 1967, he founded the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, which sough to create objects that represented a joint production of science and art.
