A legjelentősebb talán az egész Kepes életműben a fénykurzus, mint tanítási program és a fénykísérletek eredményei, mint művek. György Kepes' experiments with different media and the respective creative achievements cannot be separated from his educational approach and his contribution to various artistic schools. Perhaps, Kepes' most significant achievement is the elaboration of a course concerning the educational uses of light and the respective results of the corresponding experiments conducted with light. Throughout his artistic career spanning the United States from San Francisco to Boston, Kepes designed diverse artefacts including glass windows, mosaics, murals, fire enamel murals, metal sculptures, light walls, and programmed kinetic works.
