GYÖRGY KEPES INTERNATIONAL ARTIST COLONY ESZTERHÁZY KÁROLY COLLEGE - EGER ZOLTÁN POPOVITS Hungary — Eger He was born in Eger in 1940. His family after leaving the country in 1945 first lived in Germany, than in Australia, finally settling in the United States. Popovits completed his American education by graduating from the Sculpting and Plastic Arts Programme of the Kansas City Institute in 1965. In the same year he was awarded a scholarship to Finland and for the next 35 years he lived and worked in that country as a sculptor and jewellery designer. Between 1979 and 1997 he worked as a guest instructor at the Helsinki College of Applied Arts, Fine Arts, and Architecture. In 1999 he returned to Hungary and established his home in Szarvaskő, near the city of Eger. He is an artist of worldwide acclaim, whose achievements have been exhibited in Helsinki, New York, Frankfurt, and London. Illumination Teapot d International Visegrad Fund
