GYÖRGY KEPES INTERNATIONAL ARTIST COLONY ESZTERHÁZY KÁROLY COLLEGE - EGER THOMAS STEINER Austria — Linz He was born in 1956, and he was educated at the College of Fine Arts in Lina, and at the College of Applied Arts in Vienna in addition to the MK Maria Lassnig Experimental Film College. Since 1986 his art has been characterised by an intriguing mixture of abstract and short film elements alternately utilising graphic, painting, and film techniques. His pictures are usually created in series using the same basic colour and theme, just like his films in which he regularly unfolds one particular imagery. His paintings and films are well known all over Austria and Europe and his creative achievements have been displayed in such places as South-America, Japan, Helsinki, and Melbourne.
