Foreign currency can be exchanged for forints and forints for foreign currency only at official exchange places (National Bank of Hungary, branch offices of the National Savings Bank [OTP], travel agencies, tourist offices, hotel companies, designated hotels and camping sites) at the official rate set by the National Bank of Hungary.
