This is followed by the Csertiát Hills, then the highest range in Hungary, the Mátra Mountains with 1015-metre Kékestető, the highest peak. Descending from the Mátra Mountains and crossing the Eger stream, we are already in the Bükk Mountains. The easternmost section of the Northern Mountains is the Zemplén Mountains.
