The Agria Festival of General Arts is the outstanding arts event of the summer months. The organizer, the Géza Gárdonyi Theater continuously widens the offer; together with theatrical performances dance programs, classical concerts, exhibitions color the choice. The Agria International Folk Dance Meeting is organized in August. Nations’ dances and traditions meet in Dobó Square and in the Valley of the Beautiful Woman. In the music pavilion of the Archbishop’s Garden, concerts move on from spring to fall, with amateur and professional performers, for the lovers of classical or pop music. One of the most prominent programs in Eger Castle is a musical, The Stars of Eger, in which the main momentums of the glorious fight led by Captain István Dobó come to life again. The performances can be seen in the first half of August.
