The Heritage of the Past The many-towered town appears on the table. Certain buildings were built in outstanding baroque style, they are like nicely made jewel-boxes. A whole line of canons’ palaces, one more splendid than the other, stand in Kossuth Street. Their ornate wrought iron gates are masterpieces of industrial arts, behind them groups of tended parks green. What an industry, endowed with artistic sense, it was, which could create such masterly works. The massive volume of the cathedral appears. Only the primatial church in Esztergom is bigger than this one.
