Kornél Vajda who were equally helpful in the journal Könyv, köyvtár, könyvtáros. Lastly, thanks must go to all the members of the Hungarian Local Studies Group - it is only their interests, their issues and their experiences that keep our association alive. We hope they will find solutions to the problems that have been explored in this survey through discussion and the sharing of their knowledge and expertise. The HKSZ Collection, documenting the history of the HKSZ, consists of nearly a thousand illustrations and documents. These were taken and collected by Gyula Mándli, former chairman of the HKSZ. This archive is held at the Katona Lajos Town Library, Budapesti főút, Vác. A smaller file of documents on the history of the collaboration between the HKSZ and the UK Local Studies Group is held by Elizabeth Melrose, York. 80
