They alsó advertised it in Magyar Nemzet (Hungárián Nation) and the Pesti Műsor (Pest Programme), bút one of the papers did nőt pub- lish the time of the meeting and the other published the wrong date. Two hours before the meeting the managers of the hall informed the Society that the elec- tric cables in the building had burnt out and as there vas a power failure the lecture could nőt take piacé. This alleged problem could nőt be verified bút a sign vas pút on the gate saying that the meeting had been cancelled. The authorities have prevented meetings by vithdraving premises before, vhat is strange hovever is that the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Society - like the Rakpart club in February - managed to find a név site half an hour before it vas due to start, Thus Zoltán Király gave his lecture about the vork of parliament to about tvo- hundred people. On ansvering a question he said that he fears that the increas- ing authority regulations - conservative pover group manipulations - can once more slovly drive increasingly courageous MP’s back intő a passive position. The accusations brought up in Party disciplinary proceedings, vhich concem him among others, are unfounded and absurd. He believes that the proceedings are nőt directed against him personally bút at the policy of openness vhich he represents.
