Qn the first page there is a 12 point plán with the title "What do we uant?". Today at davn Nagy was arrested in his fiat bút the plán was read out in front of ten thousand demonstrators by the Bem statue in Buda in the aftemoon. The plán is as follows: "What Do We Hant?” I. Reál freedom of press and speech, liberty of conscience, educational freedom, freedom of association and freedom of organisationí II. Parliamentary democracy fór legislative, executive and judicial powers at all levelsí III. Negotiations about the conditions and time-limit of the withdrawal of Russian military forces, taking justifiable self-defence interests of the Soviet Union intő accountí ! IV. Humán and national rights fór Hungarians who live outside our bordersí V. Friendly co-operation with Central-Eastern European nations in the hope of a federation in the futurel VI. Hungárián social, economic and cultural links with the European communityi VII. Equal and stable working conditions fór priváté, co-operative and state enter- prisesí VIII. Trade unions, peasant, artisan, small enterprise and shopkeeper business assoc- iations,artistic and scientific alliances which function democratically and are independent of the statei IX. Conditions of existence which are adequate, state guaranteed subsistence levels fór the poorer stratasl X.
