The article dealt with Sándor Rácz’s activities during the revolution, his trial and imprisonment and praised Racz’s recent struggles. The same Gdansk Solidarity paper printed the message vhich Racz sent to Wal§sa on August 31st 1987, the 7th anniversary of the agreement between "Solidarity" and the Polish govemment. The message was as follows: Dear Mr Walesa, On the 7th anniversary of your great struggle please allow me to shake your hand and show my esteem fór you. I have long wished to know you personally bút now I feel it is of great importance because somé newspapers write of me as the Hungárián Walfsa. Whether this is true or nőt, I feel that our fight has essentially the same aims. I feel a meet- ing is necessary so that we can exchange ideas. I hope we will soon know each otner. I wish you good health in our common fight! In Solidarity Sándor Racz 31st August 1987 WNRMM Polska w7(at ( ^■e''Pn/U ^ucjz^ce^1^ j - — ............. .
