Krasaé 66/87 /E/ 24th May, 1987 György Faludy in Név York György Faludy, a Hungárián poet and translator of literary works living in Canada, spent a few days in New York on an invitation by his American friends and delivered two narrations: one in the evening of the 20th May in the "Fészek" Club on 69. Street, the other in the Hungárián bookshop of Sándor Püski on the 24th, Sunday aftemoon. ^'he audience no doubt will nőt easily forget Faludy*s recollections of his years spent in the intemment camp of Recsk, the days of the revolution and the decades of his repeated immigration. Particular interest was aroused by Faludy's account of his meeting with Hungárián film-makers last summer in Dubrovnik, where they, officially commissioned, made with him a video-record of several hours about his life, and though this is nőt likely to be shown in Hungary, perhaps it will still be preserved fór the future. Sunday aftemoon at Püski *s an unknown Faludy poem has alsó been narrated: even the poet didn't remember it. The poem was recited by Zoltán Nyeste, fellow-prisoner of Faludy: the sonette was written as a dedication in a volume of his poems, which he presented to Zoltán Nyeste.
