In the all-Hungarian city of Debrecen, the family also began to speak Hungarian and even changed dieir names to Tamássy. In written documents, they continued to use the seal from the letter patent of nobility, although they did not need to prove their noble status, since they were residents of a royal free borough almost throughout the whole time. Most of tire family members dealt with industry and commerce (iron trade). Thus, it was at tire proposal of Károly Bészler, ironmonger and vice-president of the Commercial Association that the hospital of commercial employees was established in die city of Debrecen between 1855 and 1858. We can also find among die descendents of the family a clergyman, a military officer, and a forester, while die last male member of die family still alive is a university professor.
