One of the aspects is, in any way, given by the slightly heroizing world of the contemporaneous minutes, the other by the similarly exaggerating sources of the contemporaneous press. In addition to these, the author makes use, with full respect, of the works of the outstanding researchers of the City’s history. For the sake of comparison the author refers, in several places, to the parallel events in Szeged and Pécs.

The author’s intention is to continue the present survey by discussing in next year’s Yearbook the events in 1849.
