Following this introduction come historical data concerning the archive’s personnel, their activities, the difficulties of document storage, losses of documents. In the following part description is given on the methods of sorting the documents at the time under survey, and the problems of handling the files. We are given an illustrative picture of the “progress” of the work of sorting described in the archivists’ reports. In connection with the destruction of documents the author refers to deplorable events. Carelessness in sorting out, irresponsible practice in lending out the documents can be discovered in the material of the archives. The author also gives a summary account of the manifold duties of the archivists.
