A committee was sent out by the treasury to draw an inventory of assets and incomes to be expected. The accurate and conscientious inventory made by the committee depicts truly the country town of 200 years ago. After a general geographical description, objects of economy are described in great detail: seignorial buildings, mills, butcher’s stalk, pubs, outer inns, and the values of stonework, carpentry, woodwork, glaziery, roofing on each building in Rhine gouldens. The names of pubs and inns of those days can also be known from it. The estates had cabbage gardens, officer’s flats, blacksmith shops, merchant’s houses, barns, outer seignorial villas, fishponds, wells, etc. All their values are also listed. Their value and income on the share of Zsigmond were 10,581 R gouldens. In the share of Zsigmond Andrássy there were 22 complete serf lands (66 houses), 78 cotters with and without houses; in the share of István there were 67 complete and 1/8 serf lands, 133 cotters with and 11 without houses. Their incomes from these were 866 and 2575 Rgld, respectively. Zsigmond leased the rest of the estate for 8300 Rgld. Their regale incomes were 1460 and 1200 Rgld, respectively. Sir Zsigmond ran a farm of his own. The number of animals bequeathed was 16 pairs of oxen, 242 pairs of cows, 62 pairs of calves, 253 years of age, 133 pairs of one year old calves and 150 pairs of sucking calves at the value of 10,581 Rgld. The inventory also describes the number of animals owned by the inhabitants: 634 horses, 10 oxen, 1161 cows, 2855 sheep. There were not enough pastures. The pasture for the landowner was also determined by the community: it was the Vókonya. Straw of hay was guaranteed for the people by a meadow for 1350 men. From the inventory the names of leaseholders and lease-sums are also known. The value of crop bequeathed was 5443 Rgld in the share of Zsigmond. The value of incomes of Zsigmond was 28,645, that of István 9661 174
