Some Remarks on the Yearbook of the Hajdu-Bihar County, Archives Volumes I-V

The essay is based on the paper read by the author at the Hajdu-Bihar County Archives, Memorial Days. The volumes are reviewed primarily from the point of view of archives, and as it is stated, focus had been laid on the elements of local history. Studies on local history and the organization of that kind of work is a special task to the county archives — whereas in the ORIGINAL ARTICLES, FORUM and BIBLIOGRAPHY sections the methodology and experiments performed by the Archives, the Museum and Library have been given stress.

The author analyses some of the sources, and gives credit to their novelty and usefulness, emphasizing at the same time the importance of this profile of annuals, which should be maintained in the future too.
