The Industrial Endeavours ot the Debrecen Chamber ot Commerce and Trade at the End ot the 19th Century (1890-1900)

The monopol capitalist development emerging in Hungary at the end of the 19th century took a particular shape on the Tiszántúl (east of the river Tisza). Manufacturing industry was scanty, small industry stagnated in the last decade. The foreign, especially Austrian, and later Hungarian national industry turned out to be a great rivalry to the craftmenship.

The Chamber of Commerce and Trade defending the interests of craftsmen made several suggestions to the government. They proposed the modification of the 1884 industrial law, the lesseningnof numbers of nationwide fairs, the regulation of apprentice keeping.

The Chamber of Commerce and Trade strived for the organization of an industrial body, and the development of manufacturing industry. It approved of the foundation of loan giving cooperatives for craftsmen, the development of insurance for workers. They also proposed the setting up of common workshops to fight against the rivalry of big industry.

Промышленно-политические стремления Дебреценской торговой и промышленной палаты в конце XIX-0 го столетия (1890—1900)

Развитие монополистического капитализма, происходящее в конце Х1Х-ого века в Венгрии, появилось своеобразно в Затисской области. В последнем десятилетии века фабрично- заводская промышленность была незначительной, в ремесле был застой. Зарубежная, преимущественно австрийская, потом и родная фабрично-заводская промышленность означала огромную конкурренцию для ремесленников.

Торговая и промышленная палата, представляя интересы ремесленников, выступала с несколькими предложениями перед правительством. Она предложила изменение промышленного закона 1884-ого года, уменьшение числа ярмарок, регулировку подготовки учеников.

Палата боролась за создание ремесленных корпораций и за развитие фабрично-заводской промышленности. Она приветствовала создание кредитных коопераций ремесленников- распространение страхования рабочих. Против конкурренции фабрично-заводской промыт, ленности она предлагала организацию общих ремесленных цехов.
