Preface The 175th years anniversary is celebrated on 25th October, 1993, at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Pannon University of Agricultural Sciences. It was written and published a book for this festive occasion: "History of the Agricultural Higher Education in Magyarovar" by Gyula Walleshausen. The history of Institution was detailed in the book from the establishment of our legal predecessor "Agricultural Academy of Magyaróvár" in 1818 until the year 1993, without any description of the departments of the Faculty. This publication has the supplementary informations. We have the detailed literary sources from 1954, when our Institution was reopened after a short educational break. The educational and research work of the Institution is carried out by 18 departments and 8 other units. It was organized three institute from 8 departments: Institute of Animal and Forage Husbandry - Department of Animal Husbandry, Department of Forage Husbandry -, Institute of Crop Production - Department of Horticulture, Department of Botany and Plant Physiology, Department of Crop Production, Department of Plant Protection -, Institute of Agricultural Economy - Department of Agricultural Economy and Marketing, Department of Farm Management.
