Description: Compound leaf with lanceolate leaflets, 2.8 - 15.0 cm in length and 0.5 2.5 cm in width. Apex acute, base asymmetrical acute or cordate, mostly absent. Margin toothed. Teeth are small, sharp, usually widely spaced. Midvein strong. Secondary veins are thin, run towards the margin and end in teeth apices. Discussion: P. orsbergensis is one of the most widespread species in the Tertiary floras of Europe. In Hungary it appears in the Eocene floras, and is very important in the Early and Late Oligocène, as well as in the Early Miocene. The species exists still in the Late Miocene in this region. In the locality of Pomáz, it is a dominant element with numerous leaflets and some compound leaves.
