The outlined paleogeography is strikingly similar to the pattern of seamounts and intervening basins postulated for the Pliensbachian (Vörös 1989). This probably indicates, that the tectonic collapse of the platform started already during the Hettangian (Dulai 1993). The specimens and the acetate peels are deposited in the Geological and Paleontological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum in Budapest (inventory numbers: M.93.4.-M.93.18.).
