rock is a light-grey, pyroxenic-amphibolic quartz-andésite . Its texture is holocrystalline and porphyric. The size of the porphyric components is 700 to 1000 [i. The basic substance is of 10 to 15 fx, it consists mainly of feldspar and contains several per cents of quartz. The plagioclases are zonal with an anortite content of 60 to 80 per cent. The anortite content of the twin crystal demonstrated in Fig. 2. is 60 per cent, the measurement data are the following: I. = the cleavage and composition plane (010) of the first complex containing the members A, B and C: n I = 55 hj = 15.5 II. = the (010) cleavage and composition plane of the second complex containing the members D, E and F: M-j- = - 0.78936 i + 0.55272 j_ + 0.26724 k o -II = + °« 92542 i + 0.33686 j. + 0.17365 k o Twin member A: n b = 116.1° h b = 11.5° b A = - 0.88000 i - 0.43111 i + 0.19937 k n c = 207.9 h = 8" c ç A = + 0.46236 i - 0.87571 j_ + 0.13917 k o -A = T-A X -A! = + °' 114 59 1 + 0.21466 j_ + 0.96995 k
