Occurrence : G. triloculinoides PLUMMER floods the whole Paleocene section in Taramsa. It is considered to be one of the excellent Paleocene index fossils all over the world. Stratigraphie range: G. triloculinoides has a wide occurrence. It was first described by PLUMMER (1926) from the basal part of the upper Midway group of Texas. SUBBOTINA (1953) recorded this species from the lower Tertiary in Russia. In Trinidad, BOLLI (1957) recorded G. triloculinoides from the lower Lizard Springs formation, HAYNES (1955, 1956) recorded this species from the type Thanetian in England, LOEBLICH & TAPPAN(1957) found this species throughout the whole Paleocene in their studied sections. TROELSEN (1957) described this species from the type Danian in Denmark and Sweden. BOLLI & CITA (i960) mentioned this species from the Paleocene of the Paderno d'Adda section in northern Italy. HILLEBRANDT (1962) recorded G. triloculinoides from the lower Paleocene (zone "A & B") of the basin of Reichenhall and Salzburg Austria. In Egypt G. triloculinoides was recorded from the different localities. In Sinai,SAID & KENAWY (1956) identified this species as G. pseudotriloba from the Paleocene of Nekhl and Giddi sections. In Kharga Oasis, Western Desert, NAKKADY (1959) recorded this species from" the upper Maestrichtian and Paleocene of Urn Elghanayem section.
