straight on the ventral side. Wall calcareous, perforate, surface rough, finely spinose, umbilicus shallow. Aperture umbilical . Diameter: 0,17 mm Occurrence : This small species occurs in large amount in sample no. 10 at the base of the Taramsa section, it is commonly found in sample no. 9. Stratigraphie range: BRONNIMANN (1952) described this species from the uppermost Danian of a quarry southwest of Stavnsbjerg farm, Daubj erg, Jutland Denmark. G. daub.j ergens is was recorded by BOLLI (1957) from the basal Paleocene " Globorotalia trinida densis zone" of lower Lizard Springs formation in Trinidad. LOEBLICH & TAPPAN (1957) found this species in the Danian of the Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Plain. OLSSON (i960) determined this species from the basal part of the Hornerstown formation of New Jersey. BOLLI & CITA (I960) illustrated this species from the Danian of the Paderno d'Adda section in northern Italy. Moreover G. daub.j ergens Is is recorded from the lower Paleocene of the Gubbio section, Italy by LUTERBACHER & PREMOLI SILVA (1962) and from the basal Paleocene in the basin of Reichenhall and Salzburg, Austria by HILLEBRANDT (1962). SAID & SABRY (1964) mentioned this species in the Danian samples of Gebel Aweina, Egypt. EL NAGGAR (1966) described it from the upper Danian of the section studied from the Esna - Idfu region, Nile Valley, Egypt. Prom all the above mentioned references, it is clearly that G. daub ,j ergens is is an excellent index fossil for the Danian.
