Occurrences This species occurs abundantly in the upper Paleocene G. velascoensis zone in the section studied. Stratigraphie range: SAID & KENAWY (1956) described this species from the upper Paleocene of Gebel Nekhl and Giddi sections, Sinai , Egypt . BECKMANN (1957) recorded this species from the upper Paleocene samples ( G. pseudomenardii and G. velascoensis zone) lower Lizard Springs formation, Trinidad. SAID & KERDANY (1961) illustrated this species from the upper Paleocene of the Parafra Oasis, Libyan Desert, Egypt. SAID & SABRY (1964) found this species in the G. pseudomenardii zone of Gebel Aweina section, Nile Valley, Egypt. Equatorial periphery subcircular, distinctly lobate; axial periphery rounded. Chambers 12 on the dorsal side, in î creasing slowly in size, arranged in 2 ^ whorls. The last whorl is composed of 5 ^ globular, inflated chambers. Wall calcareous finely perforate, surface smooth. Sutures on both sides almost straight, radial, depressed. Umbilicus small, deep and open* Aperture large, interiOmarginal - umbilical. Diameter: 0,32 mm
